APEX CHEERLEADING ACADEMY
The Apex Cheerleading Academy is being developed to provide athletes with positive, professionally structured cheerleading environments focused on confidence, teamwork, athleticism, skill development, and personal growth.
The academy aims to combine strong coaching, positive culture, and intentional athlete development to create environments where athletes feel supported, challenged, connected, and proud to belong.
Programs are being designed to support both recreational participation and long-term pathway development while maintaining strong emphasis on athlete wellbeing, professionalism, and team culture.
RECREATIONAL CHEERLEADING
When Apex opens, the Cheerleading Academy will initially offer classes within the recreational program stream.
Athletes participating in these classes will progressively develop skills across the following focal areas within all-star cheer.
- Motions
- Jumps
- Chants
- Dance
- Tumbling
- Stunts
- Performance foundations
The recreational pathway is designed to create environments where athletes can build confidence, develop friendships, improve athletic ability, and experience the excitement and energy of cheerleading within a supportive coaching environment.
Initial recreational class offerings are expected to include:
- Mini Cheer (ages 5–8)
- Youth Cheer (ages 9–12)
- Teen Cheer (ages 13–17)
Additional classes and pathway opportunities may continue expanding as the academy grows.
COMPETITIVE CHEERLEADING PROGRAM
Apex intends to progressively develop formal competition cheerleading pathways following the establishment of strong foundational recreational programs.
Current planning aims toward introducing competition cheerleading opportunities in 2027.
The long-term vision is to create competitive environments that balance athletic excellence, positive culture, emotionally intelligent coaching, and long-term athlete development.
Families and athletes interested in future competitive opportunities are encouraged to express their interest to a member of the Apex Cheerleading coaching team as additional information becomes available throughout the organisational development process.
Apex is also currently expanding its Cheerleading Academy staffing team.

SPECIALISED PROGRAM
In addition to standard weekly classes, the Apex Cheerleading Academy intends to offer a range of specialist development opportunities designed to support more targeted athlete growth and performance development.
These services may include:
- Private lessons,
- Small group training sessions,
- Stunt group development, and
- Custom choreography services.
Specialist sessions are intended to provide athletes with additional opportunities for technical refinement, personalised coaching, skill progression, and performance preparation.
Availability and scheduling for specialist services may vary depending on coaching availability and program demand. Interested athletes should communicate an expression of interest to a member of staff to learn more.
